Langley is great to explore and get a taste of the “great outdoors” right here in our own backyard. Langley is surrounded by the Coast Mountains has some amazing parks and trails including Aldergrove Lake which is vast and so picturesque, Campbell Valley Park a luscious place to take your kids, or The Fort-to-Fort Trail at Derby Reach Regional Park is situated next to the Fraser River and takes you to historic Fort Langley. 3. Restaurants & Nightlife

If you’ve noticed lately Langley is booming with so many new and cool places to dine at. From the Joseph Richards Group expanding their chain with S&L locations, The Italian and so many more, there is no reason to venture into Vancouver for a great bite of food.

Now besides the fantastic food options here in Langley, the nightlife is also one to brag about. Places such as Roosters, Gabby’s Country Cabaret, Townhall Public House, and Oak and Thorne are great places to catch a sports game or grab some late-night beverages.

If you’re looking for a city that has and offers some of the best education programs around, look no further. The Langley School District provides educational services to the Katzie, Kwantlen and Matsqui First Nations the City of Langley, and the Township of Langley. The Board operates 45 schools, with 11 public schools and two secondary schools There are also two multi-level schools, U-Connect and Langley Fundamental Middle and Secondary School.

The Board offers Fine Arts programs, career-based program options, French Immersion, Montessori options, as well as school-based programs such as Hockey Canada Skills Academy, Aboriginal, carpentry, automotive service technicians, electrical, horticulture, piping/plumbing, etc.

5. Location

Despite having everything you could need in one city, Langley is perfectly located in the center of it all. Wanting to venture into Vancouver? It only takes about 40 minutes. If you’re wanting to head into the other direction towards the Fraser Valley, you’re looking at anywhere from 20-45 minutes depending on the area.
